Famous English Premier League (EPL) referee David Coote has been suspended for his alleged bad-mouthing of Liverpool. The video which was taken after he reffed suggests that Coote was having a go at Jürgen Klopp.
In the video footage, David Coote can be seen calling Jürgen Klopp a “German cunt” and Liverpool “shit”.
He claimed that Klopp was “arrogant” and had accused him of lying after a match between Liverpool and Burnley in 2020.
The Video
In the video, David Coote’s supposed friend asked for his opinion of Klopp, and the alleged David Coote accused the German of verbally attacking him. He argued that it would be a waste of his time talking with someone who is that arrogant. Also, described him using derogatory remarks.
“Aside from having a right pop at me when I reffed them against Burnley in lockdown, then he accused me of lying and then just had a right fucking pop at me. I’ve got no interest in speaking to someone who’s fucking arrogant.
So I do my best not to speak to him … My God, German cunt, fuck me.” David Coote Allegedly said.
These derogatory remarks were emphasized by his friend in the video. After David Cooper was done, he looked into the camera and clarified what thought were the takeaway of their conversation.

“Long story short: Jürgen Klopp’s a cunt, Liverpool are all fucking bellends and we hate Scousers,” he said.
However, in a separate video, David Coote seems to warn his friends against making the video public.
“Just to be clear, that last video can’t go anywhere, seriously,” He said.
His friend responded in a rather sarcastic manner saying, “He’s a Premier League referee, let’s not ruin a bloke’s career. We’re not that bad.”
The Professional Game Match Officials Ltd (PGMOL) has already responded to the video. They declared David Coote suspended while refraining from further comments.
“David Coote has been suspended with immediate effect pending a full investigation. PGMOL will be making no further comment until that process is complete.” PGMOL said.
It is not so clear yet what could be a motivating factor for David Cooter’s alleged actions. In accordance with the requirement for all Premiere League referees, David Coote has revealed his clubs. He identifies as a County and Nottingham Forest. Consequently, he does not officiate matches between these two.
This therefore looks like a personal rift with the former Liverpool manager than anything else.
