The new governor is not backing down on the fight for women and human rights. Despite losing the elections to the Republican party, Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letitia James are not prepared to let Donald Trump continue with his agenda.
In a fresh press conference, Kathy Hochul and Letitia James vowed to fight back against any potential “revenge or retribution”. They fear the president-elect may try and use his powers to break to whip them to the line.
They have declared their preparation to face the president. Kathy Hochul is motivated by history. According to her, they have done it before. She said everyone involved in the administration of New York State is poised for any potential threats from the president.

However, Kathy Hochul made it clear that even though her team did not expect this outcome of the elections, they respect and honour it. Kathy Honchul declared her willingness to work with any president for the progress of New York. Kathy Honchul was however quick to add that this does not mean they will be pushovers.
“I want to be very clear that while we honour the results of this election and will work with anyone who wants to be a partner in achieving the goals of our administration in our state, that does not mean we’ll accept an agenda from Washington that strips away the rights that New Yorkers have long enjoyed.” Kathy Honchul continued her speech.
