Renowned journalist and host of the Uncensored show, Piers Morgan has rendered an apology to the Carter family. Piers Morgan ran into troubled waters with the Carter family after his interview with Jaguar Wright.
Jaguar Wright has become more famous after the news of the arrest of Mr Sean Diddy Combs. She has taken it upon herself to expose more ills in the entertainment industry. She believes more people have done worse than Diddy. She has therefore taken it upon herself to bring to the limelight all the supposed evil people in the industry.
It was for this reason that British journalist Piers Morgan invited Jaguar Wright to his Uncensored program. During the interview, she talked about Jay-Z and Beyoncé for being in similar illegal activities to Diddy’s. She described both Jay Z and Diddy as “Monsters”.
Wright claimed that he had spoken with hundreds of the supposed victims whom she continues to assist. She said she has managed to get three victims willing to testify about Mr. Carter.
This did not sit well with the Carter family. The family’s legal representatives reached out to Piers Morgan and asked him to take that part of the interview out and publicly apologize or face legal action.
Piers Morgan has come out with an apology and assured the Carter family that the allegations about the family have been edited from the interview.
“Jaguar Wright unexpectedly made several serious allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé during that interview. As I said at the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves. But now they have.”
Piers Morgan noted that the lawyers of the Carter family had reached out and denied the allegations, saying they were “totally false and have no basis in fact,”
Editing parts of his interviews is not something the Uncensored program is noted for since the aim is to allow people to say as much as they want.
However, it has become imperative that his program comply with legal requests. Piers Morgan regrettably said,
“Editing interviews is not something we do lightly at a show called ‘Uncensored,’ but like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theatre, there are legal limits on us, too,”
He added:
“That’s the thing about platforms: The reality of the modern world is that pretty much everyone has a platform as long as they have something to say that other people want to hear. That’s why we invited her on to be interviewed.”
Diddy has been the target of several lawsuits after Cassie Ventura’s complaint in November 2023. The lawsuits range from séxua@l ass@ult, sexual trafficking, to other many criminal activities.
Currently, he faces charges of conspiring to commit racketeering, sex trafficking by compulsion, deception, or force, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
All attempts by his legal representatives to secure bail for the Bad Boys Records boss proved futile. Two requests have already been denied but the team is still preparing for the third. Consequently, he’s still in Police custody in Brooklyn.
