After Publication of three million additional investigation files In the case of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is increasing the pressure on former British Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Starmer spoke out in favor of King Charles’ brother testifying before the US Congress about his relationship with Epstein and alleged sexual contacts with women procured by Epstein. “I have always said that anyone who has information should be prepared to share that information in whatever form they are asked,” Starmer said at the weekend on the sidelines of a trip to Asia.
As early as 2020, the US Justice Department wanted to speak to the then Prince Andrew. When the first part of the Epstein files was made public at the end of last year, Democratic members of the US Congress again turned to him to ask him to testify.
The US Department of Justice published more than three million new document pages on its website on Friday, including more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 photos. In two previously unknown photos, the former prince can be seen kneeling over a clothed woman whose face was covered up by the authorities to ensure anonymity. In another photo he touches her hip.
The ex-prince denies all allegations
Mountbatten-Windsor, in October 2025 by his brother Charles III. all titles of nobility have been revoked, has so far stubbornly denied all allegations against him. The last one that caused a stir Fall Virginia Guiffrewho claims in her autobiography that she was forced to have sex with Mountbatten-Windsor in 2011 when she was a minor at the time. Giuffre committed suicide in 2024.
The documents that have now been published also suggest that the ex-prince maintained contact with Epstein for significantly longer than he claims. Mountbatten-Windsor claims he broke off his relationship with Epstein after he was convicted of prostituting minors in 2008. But in 2010 he apparently invited Epstein to visit Buckingham Palace. In an email exchange, Epstein and the former prince discussed a Russian woman who was “26 years old, smart, beautiful and trustworthy,” as Epstein writes. Whether the prince doesn’t want to meet her, it’s about a time in August 2010.

US lawyer Brad Edwards, who represents many of Epstein’s victims, told the British broadcaster BBC that one of her clients had reported that she was sent by Epstein to Great Britain in 2010 to meet Moundbatten-Windsor at his former residence “Royal Lodge”. During her stay, the young woman is said to have received a tour of Buckingham Palace. The former prince, now 65 years old, has not yet commented, but was photographed on Saturday during a horseback ride.
Bill Gates is said to have asked for medication
Other prominent names are mentioned in the newly published documents. Among them is that of British billionaire Richard Branson, who asks Epstein to bring his “harem” with him at the next meeting. That of the US Microsoft founder Bill Gates also appears in the new documents. In a draft email that Epstein is said to have sent to himself, he is said to have written that Gates had asked him for antibiotics for his wife because he had a sexually transmitted disease from two Russian prostitutes. Gates’ foundation called these claims absurd and false. Many of the correspondence that have now become known cannot be verified. None of those named have yet been officially accused.
US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick also weighs in on the new files. He is said to have accepted an invitation to Epstein’s island with his family in 2012 – but previously claimed to have broken off contact with Epstein decades ago.
Elon Musk, Tesla multi-billionaire and former advisor to US President Donald Trump, is also in the spotlight: In 2012, after his conviction as a sex offender, he asked Epstein when the wildest party was on his island. However, it is not clear whether Musk ever visited Epstein’s island. Trump himself has not yet been proven to have committed any direct misconduct. The newly released documents are also said to contain FBI lists with mostly anonymous allegations against Trump. The FBI therefore classifies them as “not credible”.
Women demand full disclosure
Also the files that have now been published contain redactions, the Ministry of Justice justifies them with the protection of the victims. Women who describe themselves as victims of Epstein’s abuse are calling for the files to be fully released.
Meanwhile, the abuse scandal is reaching other countries: In Slovakia, ex-foreign minister and government advisor Miroslav Lajcak resigned. The Slovakian news portal 360tka published chat logs over the weekend, according to which Epstein Lajcak is said to have offered young women. They were “probably too young for you,” Epstein wrote, to which Lajcak replied: “You haven’t seen me in action.” In return, the politician offered his contacts to Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico. Lajcak, however, rejected the allegations: “I am in shock.” He never spoke to Epstein about women and did not organize any meetings for him. (with dpa, ap, afp)
