Rohit Bal is an Indian fashion designer. He co-own Orchid Oversea Pvt. Ltd founded in 1986 with his brother and in 1990, he launched his independent collection.

Bal was born on May 8, 1961 into the Kashmir Pandit family in the city of Srinagar, Kashmir Valley of the erstwhile Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Education
Rohit Bal alma mater is Woodlands House School and Burn Hall School in Srinagar.
At a young age, his family vacated Kashmir to New Delhi where he completed his education at the Delhi Public School in Mathura Road.
Rohit Bal graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History from the St. Stephens College of the University of Delhi and later studied fashion through a short course at the National Institute of Fashion Technology.
Career
In 1986, Rohit started taking his fashion designing skills on the professional pedestal where he worked alongside his brother Rajiv Bal in New Delhi. They both founded the Company Orchid Overseas Pvt. Ltd.
Four years later, Rohit debuted his maiden independent collection.
He was also appointed by the Khadi Gram Udyog. The Khadi Gram Udyog is the largest handloom textile operation in Panchkula.
The popular Indian game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati has its costumes designed by Rohit Bal.

Bal established a flagship store in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Chennai. He also ventured into designing jewelry.
