In this week’s episode of The War Brief, we discuss U.S. President Donald Trump considering new strikes on Iran and how that highlights the numerous setbacks he is facing in the region, from Iran increasing imposing its will on the Strait of Hormuz, to the Ansarallah (Houthis) in Yemens consolidating their control on Bab al-Mandab, and the emergency withdrawal of American B1B bombers from the UK.
We are then joined by Drop Site contributor Bonzer Barry to break down the latest in military developments in Yemen.
Later on I am joined by Dr. Shahryar Pasandideh, who argues that the withdrawal of the bombers from the UK is more consequential than it appears. And with the bombers now stationed in the continental United States, their capacity to bomb Iran will be reduced.
