Violent escalation in Iran: The regime wants to kill

The Iranian leadership seems to believe that it can keep the population quiet. The hatred of the regime is increasing immeasurably.

S People in Iran have had it for a week no access to the internet. They can’t write to their loved ones. They don’t know what’s going on in the world. They don’t know what’s going on in the country. They don’t know how many people were killed. Whether there is someone there that they know. There is absolute darkness in the Islamic Republic of Iran, in every sense. And that is exactly the goal of the Internet shutdown: to break the population.

The few reports that emerge from the cut-off country come from people who are able to communicate through the banned satellite internet and are risking their lives to do so. But the regime also seems to have at least massively disrupted this already difficult communication channel in the past few days. These reports are also becoming fewer. There are now increasing reports of people who have left the country.

From the fragments of information arriving abroad through various channels, a worrying picture emerges. Videos show scenes like war: Shots, people fleeing, burning objects in the streets, people screaming and crying, leaning over body bags. Doctors report that the armed forces are shooting people in the head and heart. The regime does not want to warn the Iranian population or disperse them. It wants to kill.

The team around revolutionary leader Ali Khamenei seems to seriously believe that this will keep the population calm in the long term. This has not been achieved in any of the major waves of protests in recent years. Every protest, every subsequent crackdown and wave of executions, has, on the contrary, increased the number of people who despise this regime. Behind every person killed there are dozens, hundreds of people who have lost a loved one. The hatred of the regime is increasing immeasurably in these hours. There is no coming back from this. They won’t be forgotten.
