When I asked what you wanted to hear about for workwear month, it always came back to the elusive work top. So today, lots of options that (hopefully) make getting dressed elegantly a three second process.
At first glance, you might think…none of these are grabbing me. But let me start this week’s letter by telling you: THAT IS THE POINT. The art of the subtle, elegant, top that makes you look like a million bucks and allows everyone in the room to listen to you without thinking about said top, is the top that wins in today’s letter.
There are a few moments of print and color but for the most part, everything today was chosen for its sense of ease and femininity without going too far in any one direction – meaning nothing too girly, too relaxed or too TOO for a traditional office environment. I looked for fabrics that translate quality – a slight texture, or a silk that won’t read as flimsy (in a bad way). Or a cotton so thick it crunches when you move and refuses to stay tucked, I’m squirming just thinking about it!
