Christian Specht hasn’t flown yet. But he feels sorry for the airport workers who have to de-ice planes until late at night.

hristian Specht, born in 1969, is politically active and advocates for more opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in the media. Since 2017 he has been the first person with a disability on the board of Lebenshilfe Berlin. If he wants, he will draw us the “woodpecker of the week”.
In the picture you can see a plane and a car. The car uses liquid to remove ice from the plane’s wings. I saw this in an ARD documentary and find it exciting. In winter the planes may not be able to fly because of the ice – and then the car has to come.
I didn’t know this car existed. People work at the airport until late at night, which is quite a long time. I’ve never flown and I don’t want to because I’m afraid of it. I don’t imagine it being pleasant when you take off and the top shakes.
There is a lot of ice on the streets in Berlin right now and it is very slippery. When I go to taz, I have to be very careful.
Together for a free press
As a cooperative, we belong to our readers. And our journalism is not only 100% non-corporate, but also accessible free of charge. We make all articles freely available, without a paywall. Especially in these times, classifications and information must be accessible to everyone. Our readers don’t have to pay anything, but they know that critical, independent journalism doesn’t emerge from nothing. We are very grateful for that. So that we can continue to do our journalism tomorrow, we need more support. Our next goal: 50,000 – and with your participation we can do it. Set an example for the taz and for the future of our journalism. With just 5 euros you are there!
