Hairdressers are suffering from rising rents. That’s why some people drive around in a car. This way they could also help others.
D This car was pictured in the weekly newspaper. He looks like one Refrigeration busI thought. I thought this bus was for homeless people, but I thought wrong. It’s a traveling barber shop. But I still found it very exciting. Then I had the idea that there could be something like that for the homeless: a car that drives around and cuts the homeless people’s hair.
The person driving the car in my photo for the newspaper may have once owned a barber shop, but the rent became too expensive. So he’s just driving around now.

Unfortunately, many barbershops are closing. Where I live there are only one or two barbershops left, the others have closed. The rent is too expensive. And the prices for people who get their hair cut are also becoming more expensive. There’s another one on Schönleinstrasse – it’s okay – and it costs ten euros. Stefan also goes there from time to time. He’s really nice too, he comes from Croatia, where Doris comes from. I talk to him sometimes.
