As I was gearing up for my upcoming travel to London and Milan this week I sent a slew of texts to a shopgirl at Prada Duomo who, last season, helped me decide which color pouch to purchase and has since kept in touch (smart cookie!) Said texts had a bunch of clothing and shoes I want to try on when I arrive that I’ve had my eye on…since I’m no idiot, the VAT is calling my name.
But I was trying to use WhatsApp on my desktop and like the aging millennial I am, I actually didn’t send it to my Prada lady but to !!! I didn’t realize my mistake until Plum replied saying she liked the shoes and had a similar pair in the 90s. 😂
But her other two cents sparked a debate. She thought the clothing pieces I picked seemed too plain for the price. To which I defended, but these are the clothes I want to REALLY WEAR!!!! And then argued in my head: See those drawstrings at both ends? The straight cut with the skinny waistband? The sheer overlay that seems voluminous enough to wear over…everything!? I can make a case for just about anything.
But then I started to think about it…is she right?
